WalkGood LA was formed in June 2020 during the Black Lives Matter movement and the beginning stages of the COVID-19 pandemic and began as a few minutes of breath work and yoga meditation before we protested against police brutality. With the immensely positive response we got from the community, we transformed the momentum into a movement.
Today, WalkGood LA is a family-led, non-profit community wellness organization based in Los Angeles that provides spaces for healing through community yoga classes, guided meditations, hikes, run clubs and other activations. The WalkGood Yard in LA is a creative and wellness studio and the physical manifestation of WalkGood’s mission.

The Black Excellence Brunch is based on the family tradition of Sunday Dinner. It is an event series that brings the Black community together with the goal of celebrating their individual and collective excellence over what can be considered a favorite pastime: brunch. Founded by entertainment entrepreneur, Trell Thomas, the Black Excellence Brunch also severs as an opportunity to show brands how they can support and interact with the community by directly connecting with movers and shakers in Black culture who are “moving the needle, carrying the torch, and birthing the next generation of Black Excellence”.

Sydney James
Sydney James
Founder Julie Anderson started Sydney James as a thank-you letter to her dad, who passed away in 2012. It was her dad who introduced her to and nurtured her love of golf. Sydney James serves as an invitation for a new wave of golfers to get involved in a game that so many love - with better clothes, and the best of company. All while honoring the past, looking to the future, and celebrating today.

Teas With Meaning
Teas With Meaning
Kamilah Mitchell founded Teas With Meaning in 2018 following a cancer diagnosis the previous fall. It was on the land of Mount Shasta, California where she realized all the herbs and magic she needed to heal were at her fingertips. Every tea blend is intentionally created to include various wellness benefits without compromising taste. Teas With Meaning is based in Oakland, California, with “magic as the main ingredient”, and serves as Studio Black’s preferred tea vendor.
